NYX Conceal, Correct, Contour Palette – Deep Review

Hello Everyone,

Today I will be reviewing NYX conceal correct and contour palette. The brand NYX was recently launched in India on and I saw this palette on website. I have read that this palette is a dupe of a MAC palette. As I have not used MAC palette till date, I cannot comment on that. Off late I have got lot of dark spots on face and I was looking for a good concealing and correcting palette. As NYX is a reputed international brand I thought of buying the product. So let us see the review:

Rs 1325 for 8.5g

Product Claim:

Colour-match your skin using NYX perfecting and correcting cream palettes to conceal, correct or contour. With 4 shades to choose from in each set, you can cover up problem spots, even out imperfections and accentuate your best features in a flash. Use these buildable coverage shades on their own or combine them to create the ideal tone.
  • Even out and cover imperfections, create depth and definition in your complexion.
  • Lightweight, non-creasing formula.
  • Ultra-smooth finish.

 My review:

The packaging is very simple and sturdy which makes it travel friendly. The body color is mustard yellow and has a transparent cover through which the product can be seen. Overall the packaging is good.

All the six products in the palette are very smooth and creamy. A feathery touch on the products will give you a good amount of product. But the products in the palette are a little hard to blend. One has to work really hard and quick to blend them. Overall the texture is OK.

The palette has 6 shades which are combination of Contour, conceal, correct and highlight for my skin tone.
Shade 1: This is a perfect match concealer for my skin. This is absolutely the shade of my skin color.
Shade 2: This is bit dark shade concealer for me. I use this on my eye lids as base
Shade 3: This shade also matches with my skin almost perfectly, but it is a tad bit lighter on my skin. This can be used as a highlighter.
Shade 4: This is an ideal shade for contouring.
Shade 5: This is a yellow toned corrective shade.
Shade 6: This is orange toned corrective shade, which I use mostly for correcting my face.

I am personally not very impressed with the performance of the shades.  The concealer shades are not very full coverage as one may requires a lot of product to conceal spot. The orange corrector for dark circles is effective in this palette. The contour shade is also serves the purpose.

Staying Power:

The palette is low on staying power especially the concealers. They start to fade away after some time of application. Also the products may get patchy at times, so one may need to keep the powders handy.  I think the palette is very average and comparable to my Kiss Beauty Highlight contour palette which is less than half the price of this one.

Pros and Cons of NYX Conceal, Correct, Contour Palette

Final Verdict:

I am not very disappointed by this product but neither I am happy with it. This product is a very starter’s kit kind of a product and is very costly for that. I am very happy with my kiss beauty palette which I have reviewed also. Do check it out.
